About 15-20 mintues ago, I was eating my supper in the lounge while on my break. Usually, I like to turn on the news to see what is on on CNN or MSNBC. Well, Wolf was on and Abrams was on on MSNBC. So I switched it back to CNN and to watch Wolf on Situation Room. Generally, I don't like him because he is just not good as a journalist. Many of you know what I mean by not liking him; at times he seems to come off as a political hack for the Repiglicans. Anyway, digress; more after the flip.
Donna was on talking about the whole NSA issue and bascially saying the Democrats believe the program is illegal. She went on to say that some Repiglicans also think this whole program is illegal. Then the dumbass conservative had his turn to say. He went on to say, Oh, the NSA scandal is good for the Republicans because it plays into national security. He also said that the American people do not want a Pelosi as a house speaker because she would hold hearings and backlog legislation. Again, you can just see the desperation on the part of these hypocrital shills. They are afraid of us taking over this November and really have oversight. Hence, he resorted to fear and basically said the American people don't want that. I wonder what polls he was looking at? The dumbass did not even stop there. He went on to mention that a large portion American people agree with the illegal NSA program according to a poll that came out immediately after the story broke out. Then, Wolf said that other polls taken in the latter days showed that the public did not agree with this. After listening to this, I wondered what Donna Brazile would say to rebut this. Nothing was the answer. So I keep eating my jumbalaya and as the commercials played I was mesmorized by one.
The ad began with GWB speaking back in September 2003 saying that if a leak came out of his office he wants to know who did it. The ad then segweys to Scooter Libby and underneath the words read, "VP Chief of Staff said Cheney gave nod to release classified information." After that, GHW Bush appears speaking and saying how he has nothing but contempt for those who release our secret information. The ad ends nicely by saying to let the President and those in Congress that this is unacceptable. At the bottom of the of the screen it said, "Paid for by Americans United."
I was taken aback by this. This was the first ad about the leak that I had ever seen. I immediately finished my dinner and heading back to my computer to let you all know. There is hope that Fitzgerald will get to the bottom of this. I heard Wolf talking with Greenfield after the commercial break that Fitzgerald met with the Grand Jury again. He also said Karl Rove is not out of the woods. "If an indictment is issued, then Rove's departure would leave a vaccum in the White House," said Greenfield. I was happy to see that there is hope for November and that we will achieve majorities in both houses. Little by little, people are starting to notice. The fact the AU ad was played here in Anderson, Indiana is testament. This town is solidly conservative, but I have noticed discontent with Bush and the Republicans. Hence, don't give up hope! If this ad was shown here in Anderson, then maybe this ad and many more will find their way to the airwaves in the reddest of states.
P.S. Feedback is welcomed!
